What is QuickP ?

QuickP is a very useful tool which can help you to manage your professional and personnal life !

QuickP has been designed to organize your events, tasks, files, contacts, todos, ... according to specific context, for example a project. A project can be an environment example : personnal.

QuickP can become the first assistant for the project manager. In using QuickP, you will be able to know every time what it has been done on your project. You have in your pocket all the contacts on the project, all the tasks, all the orders, the troubles you have encountered during the implementation. You can also enter what you have to do and not forget. Yuo can manage direclty all relative files. You can manage your meeting and directly write any rendez vous in your current agenda. Without open your agenda, you can check easily when your next meeting will start.

Let see the main screen of QuickP :

QuickP is divided in two parts : in the left part of the screen, you will find a toolbox and a list. The right part of the screen contains a list with buttons.

The Left part defines the environments or projects. This list is used to switch among projects or environments.

The Right part contain the separated list describing the events, the tasks, the files, the orders, the todos, the time logs, the troubles and the contacts which can be direclty linked to the current project or environment.

QuickP allow a first level of filtering given by the first button 'All' under the icon bar in the right part of the screen. You can for each list (events, tasks, ...) choosen a view for the current project or for all projects. For example, concerning the events, it's better to have first a view on all items because this let's you have a look on the busy time and to see immedialty the next meeting you will have a near future.

The second level of filtering concern the categories. For each kind of list you can declare specific categories which will help you to sort your database. QuickP allows the user to select a specific categorie (click on the 'No Filter' button). QuickP will immediatly displaying the items marked as well. To assign a categorie to an item just click on the 'Set Categ' button.

We can now describe the toolbox :

Click on the Calendar button lets the user enter a specific date and QuickP will show all the events, tasks, todos, orders, troubles containing a due date or a delivery date under or equal to the entered date. This is very useful to know what you have to deal with today !!

Click on the displayed date launchs the agenda. If you want to write events, tasks, todos in the agenda file, you have to select the agenda file you use to QuickP. this can be done in the Agenda preference menu.

Click on the 'multiple papers' icon let you create a new item in the selected list. You can select the active list in clicking in the Main Icon bar. To Select the project list, you have to click on the 'project' button in the left part of the screen.

QuickP allows a linkage between items. Each kind of items can be linked each other. This let the user go on a linked item directly without look for it. For example, you can link a contact to specific meeting. When you're on this meeting (event item) click on 'GO' icon to reach the contact linked to it. You can also have more than one links per item. Use the Link and Unlink icons to manage your links as well.

Look for a keyword in the list ? No problem just enter the word you're looking for after you have clicked on the binoculars. QuickP will search it for you and will display the found item as a card view. Actually, QuickP allows 2 displaying mode : list or card view. The card view displays the details concerning the selected item.

This detailed view can be activating in clicking on the magnifying glass or the 'ESC' key.

Another important feature of QuickP is the capability to manage for each kind of item an attached note which may contains 40000 cars. Click on the Note Icon or press the space bar to enter in the QuickP notepad.
